About Us
Latin Fever was established in 2004, shortly after Julie and Rosina re-located to Kent from South London, where Rosina had continued to run Peggy Spencer's successful Selsdon Hall classes having taken them over under her own 'Bosworth School of Dance' tutorage. During this time Julie had 'taken a break' from dancing to raise a family before forming Latin Fever.
They now run a highly successful Dance School covering the Medway towns providing dance lessons in Ballroom, Latin and Sequence Dancing.
Experience / Qualifications
Pupils at our Latin Fever classes are taught by Mother and Daughter tutors Rosina Bosworth (Fellow I.S.T.D BB-LA, Licentiate I.S.T.D VW & U.K.A) & Julie Callar (I.S.T.D & U.K.A). Both started their dancing careers under the expert guidance of World renowned Dance Teachers Frank & Peggy Spencer, and between them have over fifty years dance experience. Rosina was the first teacher in the UK to gain the Licentiate Viennese Waltz qualification, and Julie was a former member of the extremely successful Penge Latin Formation Team, who represented the U.K across Europe during the early 80's, including numerous appearances and wins on the original 'Come Dancing' TV show
Our School
Rosina and Julie take pride in the fact that their classes and dances are both friendly and relaxed. The emphasis is on the fun and enjoyment that can be had from dancing, and all ages from 16 - 60+ are welcome. As well as regular classes we also hold Tea Dances, Social Dances, Dance Events and Dance Weekends. We also provide private dance lessons and choreograph' personalised Wedding First Dance routines for couples and Father/Daughter Wedding dances.
In 2008 we were very proud that our Dance School was reviewed in the Dancing in Kent magazine. They commented on our winning formula of quality dance tuition combined with a welcoming atmosphere for beginners and a wonderful social community of people that love to get together to dance and enjoy themselves.
The Reviewer finished by saying 'I think their success is down to making people happy whilst teaching them dancing .... long may it continue'
